Privacy Policy

We respect your privacy. This policy explains what Non Negotiables (operated by Juracich) collects, why, and what we do with it.

What we collect

• Account info: the email address and password you give us at signup. Passwords are stored only as bcrypt hashes — we cannot read them.
• Your content: the rules you create, their start and end dates, descriptions, daily check-ins (held / broke), and any sites you choose to attach for blocking.
• Session cookies: a single signed cookie keeps you logged in. We don’t use third-party tracking cookies.
• Server logs: standard request logs (IP, user-agent, timestamps) retained briefly for debugging and abuse prevention.

Why we collect it

• To run your account and show your rules back to you
• To send the nightly reminder email you sign up for
• To protect the Service from abuse and keep it working

What we don’t do

• We don’t sell your data.
• We don’t share your rules or check history with anyone.
• We don’t run advertising, behavioral profiling, or third-party analytics.

Third parties we use

To run the Service we rely on a small number of vendors:

• DigitalOcean — database hosting (MongoDB)
• Vercel — web application hosting
• Juracich Mail API — sends your reminder emails

These vendors only see what they need to deliver their service. We don’t authorize them to use your data for any other purpose.

Your data, your control

• You can edit or delete any rule at any time.
• You can request full deletion of your account and all associated data by emailing us.
• You can request a copy of your data by emailing us.

Retention

We keep your account and content until you delete your account. Server logs are typically rotated within 30 days.

Children

The Service is not directed at children under 13 and we don’t knowingly collect their data.

Changes

We may update this policy. We’ll change the “Last updated” date above. Material changes will be communicated by email when reasonable.
